Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Our amazing dental team at The Grove City Center for Dentistry has an opening for an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant We are seeking a team member who is patient-centered, professional, caring, and interested in creating lasting relationships with our patients. The ideal candidate is a EFDA who is a hard-working, high-energy team player committed to providing the highest level of treatment to every patient.

We do require a background check in accordance with local law/regulations prior to hiring.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant duties allowed by the state of Ohio
• In general, perform clinical and technical procedures under the supervision of a licensed dentist as well as preparing the operatory and equipment, getting the patient ready, and maintaining awareness of the comfort and safety needs of the patient.
• Update patient digital charts.
• Take digital x-rays.
• Take and pour impressions for denture patients.
• At our office, all of our team members post treatment via computers in each operatory, presenting and discussing patient’s next phase of treatment, and schedule patient’s next treatment from the room.
• Cross training with other team roles is a must for all staff members in our office for efficiency and to be a better team member. This allows us to provide an enjoyable healthy work environment for all staff members and a better patient experience.
• Being a good team player is a must, as you will be expected to keep the office running smoothly by preforming treatment room sterilization and treatment set up for Doctor/ EFDA/ Hygiene as needed to keep the office running on time to exceed expectations for the patient and staff.
Experience:
• EFDA
License + Certification Requirements:
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (with current certification)
• Valid X-ray certificate
• Current CPR and first aid certificate

• Computer knowledge (Dentrix experience preferred)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to schedule appointments and present treatment to patients
• Willingness to learn or present knowledge of Invisalign and CEREC
Job Type: Full-time/Part time
Pay Range: $28.00 to $40.00
